Adequate Vascular Supply

Achieving an adequate vascular supply is required prior to the application of
INTEGRA™ Bilayer Matrix Wound Dressing.

• Punctate, uniform capillary bleeding indicates adequate removal of the affected tissue
  
• If tourniquet excision is used, the tourniquet should be removed to ensure adequate blood supply prior to hemostasis
  
• The signs of a viable wound bed include: white dermis, pure yellow fat and glistening fascia
  
• In addition to the above, cultures should be taken to identify bacterial count and type
