The temporary semi-permeable silicone membrane provides a flexible adherent covering which controls water vapor loss and acts as bacterial barrier. It also adds increased tear strength to the product.

The Collagen-GAG matrix is made of a 3 dimensional porous matrix of cross-linked bovine tendon collagen and glycosaminoglycan. It provides a scaffold for cellular invasion and capillary growth. The scaffold is eventually remodeled as the patient's cells rebuild the damaged site.
